I joined the fostering industry in 2022 after wanting a more worthwhile career. I have a performance background and trained as an actress. Definitely a career jump but I am loving my time at Mosaic!
This is tricky! I am a real people person so having the opportunity to interview and meet so many of our wonderful foster parents and to help them tell their stories. It is a joy and a privilege!
I really love my job. I love getting to see the impact which marketing has on appealing to potential foster parents. It's great to feel like you are really making a difference to the lives of children who have had a really hard start in life.
I think one of the most memorable moments was interviewing a foster parent who was talking about how far her foster child had come since they had been with her. She was clearly so proud and was beaming with joy. It really proved that what we do makes a difference. A few weeks later we were awarded Ofsted Outstanding for the second inspection in a row with little to no criticism! A rarity for foster agencies.
Normally, I start with a black coffee and emails, then film with some foster parents or staff. Then I'll head to the office to plan upcoming Facebook and Instagram stories.
